Tobin Kirk Joins Troika as Managing Executive Producer

Entertainment veteran will be overseeing all production at Troika’s 25,000 square foot facility in Hollywood, including the creative studio and live-action production subsidiary, Troika Production Group.

LOS ANGELES -- Troika, entertainment brand consultancy and marketing innovations agency, announced that Tobin Kirk has joined the company as Managing Executive Producer. The announcement was made by Dan Pappalardo, founder and CEO of Hollywood-based Troika. Tobin will be overseeing all production at Troika’s 25,000 square foot facility in Hollywood, including the creative studio and live action production subsidiary, Troika Production Group.

Tobin is an entertainment executive with over twenty years of experience in live action, visual effects, animation, and design for commercials, digital media, and other creative brand content worldwide. He has worked for Blind, Psyop, Blur Studio, and artist Bill Viola. Tobin has received multiple awards including Webby Awards for ‘Ink’ (Best Use of Interactive Video/Best Music Video/Best Animation), Telly Award-Silver for “AXS,” and Telly Award-Silver “DIRECTV Choice Xtra.”

Pappalardo commented , “Tobin’s position is part of Troika’s commitment to maintaining the highest production and delivery standards in the industry today. His role includes an ongoing, formal training program for producers that we launched this year that will promote the scope, scale, and quality of our production capabilities at Troika.”

Tobin joins Troika from a four and half year stint at Blind Inc., where he was Executive Producer and Producer on projects such as an interactive music video for Coldplay’s single “Ink,” “Jump Forward” commercial for XBOX/Microsoft, “Your Story” ancestry.com, and commercials for AT&T, PGE, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Lunchables and Sealy Mattress.

In addition to his time at Blind Inc., Tobin has a diverse background working on the main title sequence for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Blur Studio, commercials for Chrysler and “Gatorade Billion” with A52, and “We’re all in this together,” an in-flight video for Method/Virgin America with Green Dot. Tobin spent three years with Farmer Brown working for TBS, CBS, Mark Burnett Productions, Al Roker Productions, The Ant Farm, Bunium/Murry & Endemol USA.

Tobin also worked for world-renowned video artist Bill Viola for over six years, bringing Viola’s unique vision to life.  Viola’s projects included the London National Gallery, Athens Olympics, the Getty Museum, Opera National de Paris, Guggenheim Museum, Munich’s EON Corporation and Anthony d’Offay Gallery.
