Ecosse Films is jumping on the SHERLOCK HOLMES trend with a hip adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's TREASURE ISLAND, reports VARIETY.
The new version will focus on Long John Silver and Jim Hawkins' relationship. Niall Johnson (CALLAS) will be adapting the screenplay.
Ecosse co-heads Douglas Rae and Robert Bernstein are overseeing the flick.
