Walt Disney Animation Studios Drops ‘Strange World’ Featurette

Helmed by Oscar-winning director Don Hall, the studio’s new original animated feature transports viewers to uncharted, treacherous lands alongside three generations of the Clade family; watch the star-studded voice cast share their descriptions of the new adventure – coming to U.S. theaters later this month.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming action-packed adventure, Strange World, introduces the Clades, a legendary family of explorers attempting to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land accompanied by a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog, and a slew of ravenous creatures – the movie opens in U.S. theaters November 23.

In a new featurette just released by Walt Disney Animation Studios, fans can now hear directly from the movie’s voice cast how they describe the upcoming feature. The star-studded cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid Gabrielle Union, Lucy Liu, and Jaboukie Young-White, use some choice words, including crazy, bizarre, adventurous, mysterious, thrilling, mind-blowing, and, of course, strange.

Strange World is helmed by Hall (Oscar-winning Big Hero 6, Raya and the Last Dragon) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer Raya and the Last Dragon) and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar-winning Big Hero 6, Tangled).

The Strange World Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring a score by composer Henry Jackman (The Gray Man, Ron’s Gone Wrong, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), will be released in both digital and Dolby Atmos by Walt Disney Records on November 23. The soundtrack is available for pre-save/pre-add here.
