Watch supervising animators Andreas Deja, Mark Henn and Glen Keane, key story artist Brenda Chapman, Oscar-nominated producer Don Hahn and director Gary Trousdale at the Academy’s celebration of the 25th anniversary of ‘Beauty and the Beast.’

This past Monday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosted its 25th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Beauty and the Beast, and now you can watch the festivities!

Eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken and three-time Oscar nominee and Honorary Academy Award recipient Angela Lansbury joined voice actors Paige O’Hara, Richard White and Robby Benson, supervising animators Andreas Deja, Mark Henn and Glen Keane, key story artist Brenda Chapman, Oscar-nominated producer Don Hahn, and director Gary Trousdale onstage for the event at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

As part of its Marc Davis Celebration of Animation, the Academy has released six videos from the event, which, in addition to a screening of the 1991 animated film from a pristine 70mm original theatrical release print from the Academy Film Archive, included an onstage discussion about the film’s lasting impact and its place in motion picture history as the first animated feature to be nominated for Best Picture.
