200+ industry professionals will gather for the co-production and business forum in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, running May 9 to 11; online talks on YouTube will feature short film and school short film finalists.
Out of 104 submissions, 14 projects were chosen for support in development of Ibero-American stories through technological innovation in animation.
Final selections will receive funding from the Ibermedia Program initiative, which supports E.U. companies partnering with professionals/owners of Latin American IP; companies in Spain, Italy and Portugal submitted 104 projects for consideration.
The workshop, dedicated to boosting innovation in the Ibero-American animation sector, announces winners of its third edition - ‘Caregivers,’ ‘Lumen’ and ‘LIMBO;’ selected projects get 8,000€ in development aid, 3 months of mentoring and a travel grant and accreditation for next year’s festival.
The initiative, backed by IBERMEDIA Programme, announces a new line of grants as well as a new five-member Assessment Committee and Consultancy.
Backed by Ibermedia Programme and dedicated to boosting innovation in the Ibero-American animation sector programs, the organization will be hosting presentations, themed breakfasts, and one-on-one meetings detailing grants and call for applications at the festival, which runs June 11-17.
Funding for Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian producers co-developing projects with Ibero-American creators provides up to €150,000, and a support program valued up to €95,000 to promote new technology in creating animation; applications now open - submission deadline is August 21.
