IK Chains animation

By SamJust | Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at 6:39am

I'm the new guy here, and might got into the wrong thread, but anywayes. I'm trying to animate the IK chain in 3DS Max. I'm using the HI solver, btw. The chain itself moves, but the bones don't follow it. It just takes the right pose in the last key frame. The worst part is, that it actually works properly sometimes, and sometimes, most times, don't, and I can't figure out what effects it, and why sometimes, it works like I want it to, and sometimes I see only chain move and bones 'jumping' into the right location on the las keyframe!

Corrupt fla file -help to recover this file

By ibuckley | Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:57am

I am in college and Animate will not open a fla file or any of the recovered previous versions of the file. It states "An error occurred opening the file....". the file is 130,000 kb in size.

the Flash program is legit and not a pirate version. the file was saving when my laptop rebooted itself unexpectedly. I have tried to rename a copy of the fla file as rar file etc but without success,

I want to recover as much of the flash file as possible - any suggestions?

'Schools' log-in trouble

By Peyton | Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 6:01am

Hey, I'm experiencing some trouble trying to log onto the 'Schools' page of the AWN.com home site, as I'm trying to compilate/update a mailing list for book publication and contacts.  I think until recently, it didn't require a log-in and password and I got to the list relatively easily, but now it does, and despite registering properly and being welcomed to the main site, I get a pop-up window whenever I click the 'Schools' link and authentication is required.  I put in my username and password (correctly, obviously) but it just makes the requirement box over again each time, like I never

Chill-out section

-A ninja animator

Since the last 5 mins I have been on this form I have already fell in love with it. I was wondering if you would be willing to add a chill-out section to the form where members can talk about anything non-animation such as games like count to 100 or complete this sentence. I think it would be a great addition to the form. :)

Quicktime issues

I am animating a project in Flash CS4, and I forgot to animate in HD format. Thus, all my animation had to be re-sized to fit the stage. That was not the problem, the problem is when I export the movie in QuickTime, it's messy and animation that has passed on the time line are still visible. Is this a Flash or QuickTime problem? Please help me

35mm projector flickering.

By rylleman | Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1:02am

We're doing a black and white animation, very high contrast, black on white with almost no greys inbetween.
Problem is when transfering to 35mm the projection flickers.
There are a few workarounds for this, adding more background elements to reduce white areas, adding a slight coloured tint to scenes to reduce contrast.
Does anyone else have experience with this and can suggest some other solutions?
