10th SAGUNT SHORTFILM FESTIVAL
It is open the inscriptions term for participate in the 10th edition of the “ Mostra de curtmetratges de Sagunt” festival.
There are 5 sections for compete:
- Cinema: Fiction short film in 35 mm
- Animation: Any animation technique, any format.
- Documental: Any format.
- Art Video: Any format.
- Amateur: Fiction short films in video format (DVD, mini DV, VHS, etc NO 35mm).

To all student filmmakers out there, TheProject.TV is introducing a new contest just for you. Requirments: Students are to Write, Direct, and Produce 3 five minute short films.
These 'episodes' are to be created in a series and should be related to each other in some way. The Films will then be judged by viewers according to whether they like what they see....
Winner brings home 25,000 dollars! Come test your filmmaking/creative abilities! All styles accepted!

I know a lot of you have been dying for a 2d animation competition and I have finally started one! There is an audio clip to download to animate to and prizes as well. The competition is open to both flash and paper/pencil animators. For those of you who just want to animate and not worry about designing your own characters, we have pre-made characters you can purchase as well as backgrounds and props.
Go visit the Animators Clubhouse and get started. The competition ends on Aug 31st!

The judging is over in AWN’s latest Character Design Contest. To celebrate Valentines Day, the contest centered on the classic Romeo and Juliet scenario - We revisit the classic theme of forbidden love! Two lovers, either from different families, different clans, different races, even different planets, tempt fate to be together. History says their love is tragically doomed...but maybe, just this once, the fates will be bested!
The entries were judged by Larry Lauria, our long-time Animation Café moderator, distinguished animator and educator.
