About Me
As a cognitive scientist, I explore the world of animators’ thoughts, finding signs of intelligent life. Actually, I got my PhD proving that animators use more complex thinking in developing animations, videogames and CGI-infused live action films than rocket scientists. I look closely at the ways filmmakers plan, problem solve, sketch out and communicate ideas as they develop their projects. I’m also interested in how animations and CGI depict thinking, memory and dreams. I will be scouring science and cognitive journals, watching many animations and searching for bits of wisdom and insights you can use to develop your lines of thought.
