heh, pretty good job,all u gotta work on is making it more convincing that the character exists.

haha that was pretty funny. i like your facial expression when it goes in your ear. good animation in it. i do agree that you could make it more convincing that he exists, but the animation there does serve its purpose. just a short little goofy cartoon. it would be cool to see more!
Funny! Is this autobiographical?

Nice work Pete, that was really funny. I think the human looking character needs some work though. I mean no one has side burns like that in real life. Fix that and I'd totally believe that green thing jumping into his ear and came out his nose.

i love it

thanks guys!
ape!! you totally nailed it! i spent all my time on the green guy, i forgot to research the human. oh wait.. thats my parents fault. damn hippies.
thanks pascal! man, i totally loved that last little robbery animatic you posted. i cant wait until i can achieve the kind of life you put into your characters. but thats why we practice i suppose.
thanks noob, brien and kdiddy.. i agree i could spend more time making the guy feel more alive. but do you mean matching him to the background plate? i was kindof going for the roger rabbit feel.

Really impressive!
How long did it take you to do that?
I tried training my own little green alien friend to jump in my ear, but the results weren't as funny as yours....he got stuck in there...I'll get around to getting him out at some point.
On a serious note, what program(s) did you make that in? Did you import the movie into flash?
Again, great work

not so much graphicly,i mean acting could be a lil more convinving, right now it looks just like it is,a video of you with the animated character added after, lol :p

That is very funny! I wonder what the little green guy's voice would sound like - sniff, sniff.
Cheers.

"The dog is Cerberus, the girl Zoe, I'm Dirge"
thanks mike and geoff,
i did it in about an hour. no real planning (probably evident heh!), but i just wanted to force myself to do a little excercise like this each week. i figure if i cant find an hour each week to animate, then something's wrong.
and yup, its just flash on top of straight imported video.
mike, i recomend meunster cheese. dangle a bit in front of your nose, and that little guy will pop right out. they cant resist the stuff.
you're completely right noob. while he's waiting on the shoulder he should definitely have some attitude.. maybe stretch out his back, or scratch or something. i might take another pass at it. but at the same time, i didnt really intend to spend any significant time on it. just a fun excercise.
geoff, mmm.. thats an interesting thought. i picture him sounding like napoleon dynamite.

That's the way you do it. A little bit when ever you've got the time. I think you'd be better off learning from your mistakes, moving on and doing something new than working too hard to fix it, unless that is you want to. There is something to be gained from correcting your work.... That's the beauty of sketching, you can save the real effort for the full on projects and get the not so good out of the way without worrying about the time you invest.
