The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) has announced the 12 films, which will make up its Ninth Annual Film Showcase, which includes Jim Matlosz for his animated OEDIPUS.
The otherhonorees are Christos C. Bitsakos for THE RAVEN, Gina DeGirolamo for BROTHERS, Todd A. Dos Reis for UGLY, Ian W. Ellis for HOUSE WITH POOL, Marco Fargnoli for THE ACT, Darren Genet for RAVELING, Thomas Lappin for LAST NIGHT, Jim Matlosz for OEDIPUS, James W. O'Keeffe for MAX, Darren Rydstrom for YES AND... , David Waldman for EMBRYO and Richard Wong for SURFACING.
The ICG has partnered with Kodak to premiere the 2005 ICG Film Showcase at 3:00 pm at the Directors Guild of America Theater (7920 Sunset Blvd.). The showcase is free of charge and open to the public.
The competition is open to all ICG members who are still photographers, camera loaders, assistants and operators. The only requirement is that entries must be 30 minutes or less. Judging is done by a peer group of Guild cinematographers, assistants and operators who evaluate the artistic contributions made by the cinematographers. Some 80 short films were submitted to the 2005 ICG Showcase.
