The PGA New Media Council will be hosting a panel discussion featuring producers and executives behind such film and videogame productions as STAR WARS GALAXIES, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, TRON 2.0, ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, RESIDENT EVIL and METROID. Moderator Keith Boesky is head of the videogame department at International Creative Management. The focus will be on key issues of videogame production, including the state of the business, pitching and deal making, digital piracy/copyright protection, the emerging trends in videogame technology and the increasing role of film producers in the gaming sector. The panelists will include: Haden Blackman, lead producer at LucasArts on STAR WARS GALAXIES: AN EMPIRE DIVIDED; Cos Lazouras, exec producer Atari; Cliff Kamida, svp of production, Buena Vista Games; and Brad Foxhoven, co-founder Tiger Hill Ent.
The event will take place at the Sony Imageworks Theatre, 9050 West Washington Boulevard, Culver City, California 90232, with cocktails beginning at 7:30 pm followed by the panel discussion at 8:00 pm.
