For its January meeting, WIA NYC is proud to have National Lampoon's former senior editor Sean Crespo, and Carol Hartsell, co-founder/writer/webmaster of DrinkatWork.com.
Crespo is now employed by, and is a creator/producer for DrinkAtWork.com, where he makes short films. He also writes a CRACKED.com online column, "Sean Crespo Will Teach You Satire," and continues to work as a freelance writer, actor and comedian. Crespo is the recipient of the 2005 Emerging Comics of New York Award.
Hartsell is a comedy producer (THE DRINK AT WORK SHOW) and booker/manager (Relevant Ent.). She has directed and edited several shorts for DrinkatWork, including A DRINK WITH YOUR COWORKERS, SOCIALLY AWKWARD ROBOTS and the upcoming MAN MAN. In 2005, she produced the New York International at Fringe Festival showcase, "This Isn't Working." She studied painting in college but currently works a day job in graphic design.
