BAMcinematek celebrates 10 years of innovative film programming with the launch of BAMcinemaFEST, a new film festival featuring new independent films. A festival highlight, Shorts Sunday is an all-day program of 29 short films hand-picked by BAMcinematek curators. These shorts by international and Brooklyn-based filmmakers include animated, narrative, documentary, and experimental work by established and emerging artists. Each program features Q&As with a selection of the filmmakers.

Design Festa Vol. 29

Design Festa is a biannual international art event, started in 1994. It is open to all artists from all over the world to exhibit their creative talent freely. 7,000 artists working in a variety of mediums will be present, turning the two day event into artistic chaos. 3DX: 3D Film & Entertainment Technology Festival

Singapore will be the host of the world's first fully 3-D based film and entertainment technology festival taking place November 19-23, 2008. The Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) will host the festival officially named 3DX: 3D Film & Entertainment Technology Festival. Jim Chabin of 3D Partners will serve as 3DX executive producer of the five-day event taking place in Asia. The festival is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
