Design Festa is a biannual international art event, started in 1994. It is open to all artists from all over the world to exhibit their creative talent freely. 7,000 artists working in a variety of mediums will be present, turning the two day event into artistic chaos. There will be booth areas(2,600 booths), an outdoor live-show stage, an indoor stage, a mini-theater space and a restaurant and cafe/bar area, all for your enjoyment during these two days filled with art, energy, excitement and discovery.

Animabasauri5-Animabasque, Basauri-Bizkaia International Animated Film Festival's fifth edition will be held from March 20-27 in Basauri (Bizkaia). Numerous international feature and short films will take part in competitive and non-competitive sections and besides, a lot of activities will be organized such us animation workshops for adults and children, screenings for schools and other several events.

Thousands of children and their families are expected to gather at REDCAT for the 4th annual REDCAT International Children's Film Festival. An audience favorite, this year's festival looks to all corners of the globe to showcase 86 films from 25 different countries. Film lovers of all ages will be treated to an eye-opening journey around the globe and revel in a treasure trove of unforgettable stories. The festival will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from February 21 through March 8, 2009.

The Picture House in Pelham, NY, the Westchester Arts Council, Howard Beckerman, J.J. Sedelmaier, & the Jacob Burns Film Center celebrate the 103-year history of animation in the NY region. Sunday, January 25th the Picture House presents THE NEW YORK INDEPENDENTS: LEGENDARY FILMS & FILMMAKERS, a 2-part program: “Animation in Advertising” & “Independent Animators/Films.”

Where does content marry technology in the chapel of creativity? In Vegas, home of Hubbub. Taking place January 8-11, 2009 during the week of the mega-popular Consumer Electronics Show, this is the festival where the most boss short animation in the world meets up with the finest and most advanced screening equipment. We'll showcase all kinds of animation, everything from family programs in the morning to adventurous and creative animation for grown-ups in the afternoons and evenings.

Held in Swansea, Wales, SAND is a U.K. conference event for CGI animation, digital content and creation, attracting visitors and speakers from around the world, holding sessions on computer games, procedural animation, films, post production techniques, TV commercials and motion capture. Now in its ninth year, the conference is organized by Swansea Metropolitan University in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government.

onedotzero_adventures in motion festival returns to London with a new partnership with BFI Southbank with a packed three day event November 14-16, 2008.

The world's most innovative festival of motion arts and entertainment delivers a compelling mix of arts, culture and entertainment, bringing together groundbreaking cinematic work, sensory installations, explosive live AV and music performances, stellar screening programs, discussions, workshops and parties.

This year's festival has a theme of "Citystates," a creative inquiry into how we live in the modern metropolis.

Videogame retailer GameStop will host midnight release events for FALLOUT 3 by Bethesda Softworks at their 1,600 stores nationwide. Starting at 10 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2008, customers can visit their local GameStop and be among the first to get their hands on the new game at 12:01 a.m.

Participating GameStop locations will begin their events at 10 p.m. local time; however, customers are encouraged to contact their local store to confirm details.

The Fourth Annual Turks & Caicos International Film Festival will be held Wednesday, October 15, through Sunday, October 19, 2008, on Providenciales, one of the Turks & Caicos Islands, located in the Caribbean.
