My understanding is that the more you post, the farther along the chain you get. As you can see you are no longer a junior member, but a member because you hit 30 posts.
I had originally thought it had to do with someone's experience, but alas, 'tis not the case.

I wondered the same thing about becoming a senior member. It actually happens automatically. And it doesn't take too long either. I think that after a few weeks or so, I looked over at my avatar and saw that it said "senior" member. That's cool, cause all the very new members think that you've been a member for years. hehehe.
Although I think that Harvey and a few others already translated it.
-Mucho (muchas - feminine plural) - means "alot" or "very much"
-Gracias - means "thank you"
- Mi - means "my"
- Hombre _ means "man".
Por eso (therefore), muchas gracias mi hombre, means "thank you very much my man".
