Hi all,
I was hoping to get some advices on making the 2D animation process automated. If not a fully paperless environment atleast cost effective. I have heard of softwares like STYLOS, Mirage, Toom Boom etc claiming to completely automate the 2D animation process.
I also would like to know if we can make 3D work for 2D. Say we do the whole stuff in 3D software and line render it!!!???
My main concern is if we can get the quality and flexibility of traditional hand drawn animation with these automation process? What would be the pros and cons?
Please help me out.
There is no fully automated animation process. (except for mine that I will sell you and only you for a minimal fee) Even 3d needs a paper and pencil. And yes there are "toon shaders" available for 3d to give that 2d look with the pencil outlines, although all the really good ones I have seen still look 3d more or less.
