Cartoons on the Bay International Jury Set

The International Jury for the 11th edition of Cartoons on the Bay has been announced for the event runs April 19-22, 2007, in Salerno, Italy.

They include Wolfgang Wegmann from Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), Germany; Jan-Willem Bult from KRO Youth TV, The Netherlands; Beth Gardiner from Playhouse Disney, USA; Céline Limorato from France 5, France and Maurizio Forestieri, animation director, Italy. The Jury members will select the prestigious Pulcinella Awards, designed by the famous Italian maestro of animation Emanuele Luzzati, who recently passed away.

Cartoons on the Bay is an international event with awards, workshops, lectures, TV and theatrical previews, and events centering on the ever-changing world of television animation. The Pulcinella Awards Competition is open to all products in animation for television and the Internet, including pilots of series. The Competition is also open to short films.

Works completed after the Jan. 1, 2006 and created with any kind of animation technique may participate. The various Pulcinella Awards are presented to seven competing categories including best series for infants, children, young adults & adults, all audiences, best pilot, best TV movie, best short film, as well as best European program, best program of the year and best character of the year. Entry into the competition is free.
