Classic Media Expands Across APAC

Classic Media announced that it has inked a range of new deals across the Asia-Pacific region, placing over 1,200 hours of programming with Free & Pay TV and Home Entertainment partners, as well as increasing the catalogue’s presence on IPTV platforms.

LONDON, UK — Classic Media, a global media company with a portfolio of some of the world’s leading family entertainment brands, announced that it has inked a range of new deals across the Asia-Pacific region, placing over 1,200 hours of programming with Free & Pay TV and Home Entertainment partners, as well as increasing the catalogue’s presence on IPTV platforms.  Deals span across Classic Media’s key titles, including Postman Pat®, Guess with Jess®, George of the Jungle®, Finley The Fire Engine®, He-Man® and Casper the Friendly Ghost®.

Special Delivery! Everyone’s favourite postie, Postman Pat continues to deliver to fans with a new Free TV deal in South Korea (EBS), and IPTV deals in Australia (Yahoo 7) and China (Qiyi/Lekan). Meanwhile, Pat’s trusty side-kick Jess the Cat has had a range of deals signed for Guess with Jess, including New Zealand (TVNZ), South Korea (C4U Media), Thailand (Rose Media) and China (Lekan). Recent deals for another Classic Media preschool brand, Finley the Fire Engine include China (Lekan), and Free TV and Home Entertainment rights in Thailand (TIGA).

Watch Out for That Tree! New deals will have George of the Jungle swinging into India (Sun TV) and Thailand (True Visions), while Casper the Friendly Ghost scares up some fun in Australia (Jigsaw has picked up Casper and Friends, Casper: A Spirited Beginning and Casper’s Haunted Christmas), Thailand (TIGA has secured Casper and Friends), Malaysia (Natseven TV, Casper’s Haunted Christmas and Casper: A Spirited Beginning, and NTV7 has picked up the feature film Casper’s Scare School and Casper’s Scare School Series 1) and Taiwan (Migo).

By the Power of Grayskull! Internationally renowned cult hero series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has been picked up by Yahoo 7 in Australia and by Qiyi in China for current fans and new generations to both enjoy.
