The Unreal Engine creator rolls out Chapter 1 of its step-by-step hands-on look at how to get started with virtual production visualization workflows.
In case you missed it, Epic Games recently launched its new “Virtual Production Visualization Guide,” a step-by-step hands-on look at how to get started with virtual production visualization workflows in Unreal Engine, including previs, pitchvis, techvis, stuntvis, and postvis. It shares insights from leading studios working in the field, including Magnopus, Bron Studios, ReelFX, Sony, MPC, and Epic’s own Fortnite Cinematics team.
Chapter 1 of the Guide is available now on the Epic Developer Community, with new chapters to be rolled out in the coming months. It will also be accessible from Epic’s newly revamped Virtual Production Hub.
The guide promises to take users through a complete virtual production workflow - from gear setup, creative pre-production, and stage tool creation through to file management on the shoot day and editorial turnovers – culminating with the know how to set up and run a professional-level visualization shoot in Unreal Engine.
