Winners are announced for the sixth edition of the KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival, including the prize for Best Animated Short, presented to Poland’s Zbigniew Czapla for Toto.
The sixth edition of the KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival wrapped up over the weekend with a shower of awards, including the prize for Best Animated Short, presented to Poland’s Zbigniew Czapla for Toto.
The Toon Boom Young Audience Award went to Michael Visser’s short film, Forever Mime, (The Netherlands), and Hungary’s Péter Vacz took home the Toon Boom Audience Award for Rabbit and Deer.
With expanded dates and venues, this year’s international competition received more than 1,300 submissions from 75 different countries, and saw even more visitors than last year. Jury members for the Student, For Hire, 3D and Political Shorts categories included Guillaume Catagné, Kirsten Ruber and Ryan Honey. The jury for the Best Animated Short category included Kees Driessen, Vanja Hraste and Sylvain Quément.
