LOBO Scoops ILDA Awards Again

The annual conference of the International Laser Display Association, the umbrella organization of all laser professionals worldwide, was held in China near Hong Kong recently.

As the highlight of each conference, ILDA honors the best laser shows of the year with the ILDA Awards. As in recent years, the market leader LOBO received most of the Awards for outstanding creative achievements. In a total of 10 categories, LOBO won nine Awards with five first prizes, two second prizes, one third prize and one honorable mention. With a total of 97 Laser Oscars, no other company in the International Laser Display Association's history has ever received more awards than LOBO.

In the category Live Stage Performance, all the awards went to LOBO. The first prize was granted for the giant Olympic Asian Games opening ceremony in Doha, and the second prize for an indoor multimedia show for the Norwegian oil company Statoil. The SUMMERNIGHTS outdoor laser show above a lake in the German Holiday Park was chosen by the jury as the best combination of laser animation and beam effects. With ARABIAN DREAM, LOBO received the first prize in the category Graphics Show. Also the first prize in the multimedia awards went to LOBO for a show incorporating sophisticated motion capturing techniques for character animation. And finally LOBO's presentation of the new Mercedes GL-class at the Detroit Motor Show received a first prize in the category Laser Photography.

LOBO's creative director Alex Hennig said, "We are extraordinarily proud that again LOBO won the awards in the most demanding disciplines, as they are required when it comes to handle real mega events. This clearly shows that LOBO manages over the years to provide its clients not only market-leading technical solutions, but also an unsurpassed level of creative spirit to make giant outdoor spectaculars and even most demanding multimedia shows happen."
