Onyx's Aton Soumache and Dimitri Rassam will produce alongside co-producers Alexandra Milchan and Gregory Levasseur, and exec producers Marc Sessego and Andree Cornier.
Aja and Levasseur adapted the tale of a space pirate. The manga already spawned an anime series in Japan.
Production on the $100 million film will begin next spring with summer 2013 targeted for the film’s release.
