HARRY POTTER star Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to star in a remake of ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT, reports Boffo.com. Based on Erich Maria Remarque's novel, the film follows the hardships of trench warfare from the point of view of German soldier Paul Baumer.
Ian Stokell and Lesley Paterson, who penned the script, are producing out of their Sliding Down Rainbows Entertainment.
Production will begin in spring 2012, following Radcliffe's run on Broadway's HOW TO SUCCEED WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.
