The sci-fi story follows Meg Murry, with her brilliant brother Charles Wallace and schoolmate Calvin O'Keefe, who travels through space and time to save her scientist father.
Bedrock head Cary Granat and Catherine Hand are the producers with Charlotte Voilkis, L'Engle's granddaughter, exec producing.
Previously, the BBC and ABC transformed the story into TV movies.
Bedrock recently announced the production of its first film, the animated feature, TURKEYS. The studio is also developing I HOP, FLANIMALS, DINOSAUR BOB and THE RATS OF NIMH.
