Landmark 70th edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival’s Animation in Focus program to be anchored by the first major retrospective of Scottish-based animation duo Will Anderson and Ainslie Henderson.
Fourteen animated shorts are selected to screen in competition, as well as U.K. filmmaker Ainslie Henderson’s stop-motion animated documentary short, ‘Stems,’ and Australia’s experimental VFX short, ‘Double-Blind No.1.’
Fifty-one films are selected to compete from 1,103 submissions, including Don Hertzfeldt’s ‘World of Tomorrow,’ Ainslie Henderson’s ‘Stems’ and Rosto’s ‘Splintertime.’
