Nipuna Services Inks $25M Animation Deal

Nipuna Services, Satyam's BPO subsidiary, has inked a $25 million animation deal with 4K Animation, a U.K.-based animation and visual effects house, reports INDIA TIMES.

The 18- month contract is for 52 episodes for the third season of MARVI HAMMER PRESENTS NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WORLD and MARVI HAMMER feature, combining live-action and animation. For the feature, Nipuna will produce animated backgrounds, a furry CG creature and 2D-animated characters.

RCN Launches Boomerang Cartoons on Its New Digital Vision Lineup

RCN Corp., a leading provider of triple play cable, high-speed Internet and phone services, announced that Boomerang, the 24-hour classic animation network from Turner Broadcasting, will now be featured in its New York City (RCN Channel 186) and Philadelphia (RCN Channel 147) new digital lineups. These additional launches complete RCN's roll out of the network in all of RCN's markets.
