Hamburg Children's Short Film Festival

Hamburg Children's Short Film Festival is an offshoot of the International Short Film Festival. The event invites children and young adolescents, 4-14, to experience a week full of entertaining and thrilling short movies. A jury made up entirely of children has been given the job of deciding which short film will win the Mo&Friese Award worth 1,250 euros and which films will receive a special mention. The seven jury members, ages, 11-14, come from different parts of Hamburg. The awards ceremony is set to take place in the zeise kinos on June 12, beginning at 3:00 pm.

Transdimensional Short Film Festival 2005

Created in 2003, the Transdimensional Short Film Festival is an opportunity for filmmakers to show their films to an audience and network with their peers. Categories this year include animation, narrative, documentary and sci-fi. Short films/videos must be under 15 minutes to qualify. Films will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, which includes include FAMILY GUY's Alex Borstein, ZAPPED! writer Bruce Rubin, and JEOPARDY writer Jules Minton.

The Incredibles to the Rescue on DVD

When Brad Bird came to Pixar to shake things up with THE INCREDIBLES, he also wanted to raise the bar for DVDs as well, bringing a video camera in tow all through production. Judging from the some of the supplemental material on the fabulous two-disc COLLECTORS EDITION that streets today (Walt Disney Home Ent., $29.99), there were plenty of friendly creative fights. Brad was a great documentarian, DVD producer Ann Brilz told AWN. He wanted to record the experience warts and all. Gathering the material with Brad was an honest, candid look at the production.
