Desire to Animate

By Raka | Monday, February 15, 2021 at 3:17pm

Hello, to be clear I'm not aspiring to be an animator as a job, I would like to share my thoughts I have been having on the desire to want to desire animating. In the past and present I have always been inspired to animate by anime's or by spirte animation here on newgrounds, or stick fights, and many other different works and compositions.

How To Get the Perfect Marketing Competition?

If you seek the perfect marketing on a minimum budget, mark your business services with a proper identification mark. Without brand awareness, a brand never achieves a high return on investment. If you want to instantly connect with your targeted customers, give a good visual appearance through a logo. There are numerous logo designs like abstract logo, mascot logo, and many more. If you want to stand in the marketplace and you do not lose your customer avail logo design services.

exposure/article about my production project.

Hi, I'm and CG artist, animator, and producer of CG narrative content currently living in Japan. I have been working on a 3DCG animated project that soon is going to be ready to shop it around for investors/publishers and I would like to know what is needed to get the project highlighted on articles in the animation scene?  exposure will certainly help to spread the voice about it.

Thanks,

Alvaro Letelier.

2d animation ideas

I've been testing animations and I cannot seem to stay consistent with frame rate. I often have to go back and add/remove frames to keep things consistent - or perhaps I'm paying too much attention to it.

btw, I searched and didn't see it mentioned here. I use that site to quickly test animation ideas https://motorpen.com

walking minions :-)

By Adaminion | Monday, January 11, 2021 at 12:09pm

Hello everyone, I have a request and hope someone will be kindly able to help me out.

I am just a bit familiar with animation, working mostly in Adobe Flash (now - Animate), I mostly deal with video editing/special effects and here's my problem. I want to add to a video 2 short scenes where a few Minions (the ones from Despicable Me) are waving, turning around and walking away.

Help! Who and where do I hire to figure out background dimensions?

By Jack | Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 5:12am

I'm producing an animation that's more complicated than the style we've used in the past.

This one involves a constant zoom out, dynamic camera movement, vector images instead of raster like we've usually done.

I can't figure out on my own what shape/perspective and dimension/size of backgrounds to assign my background artist... Who might I search for to join our team and do this task?

And any recommendations for good places to find them? :O

Why animating on 1s and 2s are better than animating on 3s / why in-betweening, timing and spacing is important in animation

In-betweening has been an very important thing in animation because helps make the movements look smooth and realistic, Most Western animation is mostly done on 2s and 1s separately.

but the framerates all rely on the in-betweens, timing and spacing.

Most movements (Normal, slow and fast) is animated on 2s

The very fast movements are on 1s.

Russian animation is also animated on 1s and 2s.

Anime however, is usually done on 3s.

for the anime movies is done on 3s 2s and 1s.

Why Writing Scripts Is Important For Animated Videos

Imagine seeing a movie without a screenplay? Difficult to imagine and impossible to achieve. Such is the case with animation videos. If you wish to make an advertisement or an explainer animated video, then you need a script to help you keep the things in line. How can you do it? The first thing you are going to need is a story. So, you need a relatable character and event at the centre of it. The more connected your audience feels to your content, the better your chances of creating an attractive animated video would be.

Which Animation Software Is Best?

There are hundreds of best animation software, and all are very effective and efficient. Although, if new or beginning software engineers want to use the software to create the best graphical pictures and videos they can go for the user-friendly automated video creation software. Thus, they can understand the meaning of the options and feel comfortable using the tools. The best software names are Adobe character animator, toon Boom harmony, and pencil 2D. These three are famous and widely used for making small-animated videos.

Trying to figure out what /who this character is and where it comes from. It showed upwith the forensics of a case I'm working.

I have spent all day trying to figure this one out, but I have had no luck. Can anyone tell me who this character is and where it is from? Thank you.

From PBS Intl Animation Festival: Fly Trapped In House

Hi: I wonder if anyone would know of an animation from the 70s that was shown on the Public Broadcasting Service in the US. The short involved a fly entering a house, then trying to escape back out and avoid being swatted. This was all from the fly's point of view. It was a poignant short made using a long series of detailed pencil drawings. As I recall, host Jean Marsh marvelled at the work, and may have said the artist was Polish.

Any recollections or clues greatly appreciated. Thanks. ))

Questions regarding purchasing models with existing animations, and then adding animations to them

Thanks for your help!

Suppose I bought a dinosaur model with some animations. I assume these animations are baked into the mesh so that I can't add new animations using the existing rig?

If I see a cool dinosaur model with all these animations on an online store, and I just want one or two more animations for it, would I have to rebuild a new rig for it, or would it typically come with a rig that I could use to make animations with?

How long would you estimate it'd take to make a single animation of a dinosaur pawing at the ground?

Need help finding two animated short films

By Coco | Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 3:04am

The first cgi film was a shot film about loss, an old woman was putting in memories of her husband (such as a pipe, a picture, etc) that were coming into the building (that looked like a library, but instead of books there was a vast amount of storage boxes) from a clothes line going in from the outside, all the memorabilia hung from the line with a hangers. I believe it ends with the woman stumbling and her dropping everything, the film was a metaphor for losing someone dear to you.

How can I make this? Newbie, please help.

I'm brand new to animation. Been working with daz3d for a few months and that's the extent of my knowledge.

I'm trying to make something like this:

The way I see it, there are 2 things I need to do.

1. Have a blurred out image with glasses coming into frame that make everything in lense clear.

2. Have an animated Heads Up Display that scans, then shows results.

Any suggestions, direction, or tips are much appreciated!

Which form of animation?

Good day,

I am an experienced artist and illustrator. I am also a writer. I am getting into animation.

This will start as a one-man project with the intention of adding others if, God willing, it gets bigger. A good friend of mine, also an artist, was going to be involved, but he passed away unexpectedly during a surgery.

I have a few animated series already outlined and partially scripted. Obviously I'll do one at a time...

Survey for bachelor thesis?

Hey,
I am working on my bachelor thesis and for this purpose, I choose to do a survey among animators about their opinion regarding dynamic elements in rigs.
I am trying to get as many animators on this as possible so I decided to post this here (, I hope this is fine with everyone).
The survey is anonymous and takes less than 5 minutes.
Thanks in advance!
