ASIFA-Hollywood will present the world premiere of local L.A. animator Mark Kausler's personal film, IT'S THE CAT - along with a program of Kausler's personal favorites and influences from Hollywood cartoon history. Kausler will screen rare film prints and point out the work of distinguished animators and highlight influential animation sequences. Kausler's work has been seen in WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?, HEAVY TRAFFIC, FAMILY DOG, THE DUCK FACTORY, LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTION, REN & STIMPY, SING BEAST SING and many other classic cartoons. "IT'S THE CAT" is his first film as hyphenate, director-animator-producer. The screening will be held at The American Film Institute, Ted Ashley/Warner Bros. Screening Room, 2021 N. Western Ave., Hollywood, California. The 3:00 pm event is free for ASIFA members and $10 for non-members.
