Anim!Arte is an international film festival of animation movies with focus in the student public. It has as objective to stimulate the culture, as soon as the professional artistic grown, of the Animation Business in Brazil. This has been instrumental in the production of animation movies, mainly among students.

The International Animation Film Festival will take place in Annecy (Haute-Savoie, France) from Monday 7 to Saturday 12 June 2010.

The website poff.ee/anima displays the regulations, the short film entry form. For any kind of information please write to anima@poff.ee(link sends e-mail).
Films permitted for submission are those dealing with the theme “Tomorrow we will see,” in accordance with the description of the competition. The length of the film contributions must not exceed 10 minutes. In the case of longer films, an excerpt of up to 10 minutes may be submitted.
The Canterbury Anifest is an animation festival that takes place annually. There is no submission fee. The Award Categories are Festival Grand Prize, Festival Runner Up, Audience Selection Award, Creative Design, Creative sound design, Technical Achievement and Smallfilms Award.
Nokia Mobifest Toronto, Canada's premier made-for-mobile film festival, is now accepting submissions for its fourth annual event. Filmmakers -- from amateur to professional -- are invited to submit original films of 90 seconds or less for programming consideration. Entry is free and open to both local and International content creators, aged 18 or older. All genres are welcome and entrants may create and edit video using any equipment of their choice. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm EST on Monday, September 28th, 2009.
The Savannah Film Festival, hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design, is accepting entries for the 2009 festival, to be held Oct. 31-Nov. 7. The San Francisco Film Society has announced that the inaugural Cinema by the Bay festival, a celebration of the passion, innovation and diversity of Bay Area filmmaking, the intelligence and probing spirit of local directors and the incredible depth and breadth of America's film and media frontier, will run October 23-25. The three-day festival will feature new work produced in or about the San Francisco Bay Area and provide a compelling window into Bay Area film culture and practice at its best.
British animator Joanna Quinn is obsessed with drawing. In an age where animation is dominated by slick computer-generated imagery, her films stand out because they are so evidently handdrawn: pencil and sparse colour on white paper, the constantly shifting lines expressing the huge vitality of her characters, whether it is the old crone and the knight in The WIFE OF BATH, the Toulouse-Lautrec-inspired off-duty prostitutes in ELLES or her signature character, Beryl, in any of the three films that feature her.
Attention animators! The 10th Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival 2009 will once again be showcasing animated short films produced by animators of Asian ethnicities in a 90-minute all-animation program. All forms of animation (traditional, claymation, stop-motion, flash, CGI, etc) will be accepted for consideration into this competitive festival. Films by all animators pertaining to Asian issues and themes will also be considered. Only DVD formats are accepted for consideration. A Best Animated Short Film Award will be awarded with prizes to be determined.
