Similar to what Deanna suggested earlier, one suggestion for an Educator’s Conference topic is “Trade School vs. Art”.
In our School of Art and Design, often times our animation program is viewed from the fine art programs as being too vocational. I know that our program is always working to create a balance between vocational training and maintaining artistic considerations and freedoms. Thought it might be interesting for a round table discussion or forum of some kind.
My colleague, Courtney Granner, said he’d be willing to mediate a workshop if you’d be interested.
