Created by Cliff Benfield and premiering on the network’s YouTube Channel, the new animated show follows Allen, a lazy college student who brings out the worst in every social circle; will launch on HBO Max later this year.

Adult Swim has announced the June 23 launch of Indolent Allen, a new short form digital animated series created by Cliff Benfield, known for his absurd original characters and quick dialogue. His animated cartoons now boast 600k followers on TikTok and 72k on Instagram. The series premieres on Adult Swim’s YouTube channel on June 23 at 8 pm EST, with the second and third episodes dropping on June 30 and July 7, respectively. All episodes will appear on HBO Max later this year.

Based on two proof of concept sketches posted to TikTok  (Group Project & Zoom Classmate), the show follows Allen (voiced by Daniel Padulo), a lazy college student who brings out the worst in every social circle he manages to nudge into.

Written by Cliff Benfield, Padulo, and Adam Gold, the series features voice talent from NYC comedians, including Savannah DesOrmeaux, Nadia Pinder, Derick Gonzalez, and Jared Schwartz. Gold serves as executive producer.
