CULVER CITY, CALIF. – The Boondocks: The Complete Third Season, the third installment of Sony Pictures Television’s provocative Peabody Award-winning comedy, debuts on DVD November 9 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Based on Aaron McGruder's politically-charged comic strip known for its biting satirical humor, The Boondocks: The Complete Third Season arrives in a three-disc set containing all 15 uncensored episodes of the explicit third season, including hard to find episodes. The 3-disc DVD set contains all of Aaron McGruder’s outrageous “Boondocks” crew, a slew of irreverent bonus features and will be available for $49.95 SLP.
The series’ voice stars are Regina King (Ray), John Witherspoon (Friday), Cedric Yarbrough (TV’s “Reno 911”), and Gary Anthony Williams (TV’s “Boston Legal”). Gabby Soleil (Johnson Family Vacation) and Jill Talley (The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie) are also featured in the cast.
Guest characters this season are voiced by Bill Maher (TV’s “Real Time with Bill Maher”), Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars) and Charlie Murphy (TV’s “Chappelle’s Show”). The Boondocks is executive produced by McGruder and Rodney Barnes (TV’s “’Til Death) and co-executive produced by Brian Cowan (TV’s “Futurama”) and Carl Jones (TV’s “Black Dynamite: The Animated Series”).
