Chapeau Studios Adds Troy Kelley and Jon Campbell to Leadership Team

Key additions come as the studio expands original content and strategic offerings; hires add depth to new and innovative work, better merging the creative with technology.

Chapeau Studios has announced two key additions to the company; Troy Kelly has been named chief solutions officer and Jon Campbell EP of creative content. They join company founders Ben Looram and Karuna Venter, and creative director Lauren Mayer-Beug, on the studio’s leadership team.

During 2020, the studio has continued its expansion to full-service capabilities across a broad spectrum; working with clients to develop concept-driven work for episodic television and advertising campaigns. Chapeau has also begun work on the rollout of their in-house virtual production studio.

“Already, the time spent with Troy and Jon has been a game changer,” commented Mayer-Beug. “Chapeau has always been dedicated to evolution, but I’m particularly impressed, given the hurdles this year, with what we’ve already accomplished. There is a new level of excitement for what the future holds.”

As chief solutions officer, Kelley is responsible for working with clients to develop bespoke solutions from across Chapeau's broad creative, technology, and content studio offerings. With two decades of experience in the advertising industry, he has worked with global clients such as Walmart, Coke, Samsung, and MasterCard, transform their digital presence. Prior to joining Chapeau, he was with creative shops R/GA, Deutsch, Ogilvy, and Arnold. In recent years, he specialized in helping IPG build custom agency offerings for large creatively focused clients, like Big Family Table for Hulu and McCann XBC for Mastercard.

“Clients turn to smaller shops like Chapeau because they bring more than deep creative expertise, they have a desire to improve the process and continue evolving the craft,” commented Kelly.

Newly named EP of creative content, Jon Campbell, leads the charge on building Chapeau’s development and creation for branded and narrative content. Most recently, he was part of Google’s “Chief Story Telling Team” where he produced award-winning short documentaries for the Search On series. His projects have garnered over 200 million views online and been featured in The New Yorker and at The Tribeca Film Festival. He is passionate about combining storytelling and technology, already diving deep into the creative technology side of Chapeau Studios.

Chapeau's multidisciplinary creative studio is a tech-forward collaborator for brands, production companies, creative agencies, experience designers, game developers, and digital innovators alike. The addition of Kelley and Campbell to the studio’s roster adds depth and focus to the task of merging the creative and with technology to deliver innovative content.
