After taking the app world by storm in the popular game WHERE'S MY WATER?, Disney latest animated creation Swampy is head to his own Web series, writes The Hollywood Reporter. WHERE’S MY WATER?: THE ADVENTURES OF SWAMPY will be a four-minute series of 12 episodes with the first weekly episode debuting in January.
In the game, Swampy lives in the sewer, but can't stand being dirty. Players help guide water to Swampy's bathtub. His adversary is alpha alligator Cranky who tries to stop the water and battles him for the affections of Ally.
Chris Williams, VP/GM of Disney Online Originals, is exec producing.
The character was the first original character developed by Disney for a game. The $.99 game quickly became the top selling app on iTunes' App Store.
