LOST's Damon Lindelof has been tapped to rewrite Ridley Scott's ALIEN prequel, reports Deadline.com. Lindelof's take reportedly would make the film unrelated to the other films in the series. 20th Century Fox and Scott Free Prods. are producing.
Lindeloff, alongside Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, is writing the STAR TREK sequel. He is also producing that film. He previously worked on COWBOYS AND ALIENS with Kurtzman and Orci.
Jon Spaihts wrote the original script for the ALIEN prequel.
