The International Film Festival Rotterdam, one of Europes biggest and most important film events, focuses on innovative and independent cinema. With its annual co-production market the CineMart, which runs from January 25 through 29, 2004, the International Film Festival Rotterdam has developed a very effective instrument to bring together financiers and filmmakers. This event offers highly productive opportunities to network and discuss projects, the selection of which is kept to about 40. CineMart deadline for project entries is October 15, 2003. The VPRO Tiger Awards Competition, which promotes talented new filmmakers, accepts first or second time directors of a feature length fiction film (70 minutes and over). The film should have its world, international or European premiere in Rotterdam.
