KELOWNA, B.C. – Following the expansion of its new, state-of-the-art, dark fibre geothermal studio in the heart of Kelowna, B.C., there is more growth news from Yeti Farm Creative. CEO Ashley Ramsay announced that three highly successful and respected industry professionals have joined Yeti’s senior team. Blair Peters, former Studio B Productions partner (sold to DHX in 2007) and Lance Priebe, formerly Club Penguin Founder (sold to Disney in 2007) and Founder of Hyper Hippo Games -- will help with the strategic and creative vision of both Yeti Farm Creative and its digital-first slate in YetiLABS; and Darren Battersby, formerly of Rainmaker Entertainment and Bardel Entertainment, comes on board in finance.
“I have known Yeti founders Ashley and Todd Ramsay for many years -- since back in the day when they both worked at Studio B,” Peters said. “I always knew they would do great things. Together, they have created an exceptional company and I am excited to help shape and bring the vision for YetiLABS, an innovative and creative studio focused on original digital productions, to life.”
“I am looking forward to working with Blair and the Yeti team to mold the long-term strategy for YetiLABS. This is a growing company filled with smart, talented people,” Priebe commented. “We are going to do some great things together and provide entertaining, compelling content that people will want to see. The future at YetiLABS is very bright!”
“There are several key elements in building and running a successful creative company and I am thrilled that I will be heading up the financial side for Yeti Farm Creative and YetiLABS,” Battersby added. “A strong financial plan and leadership allows the business and creative pros to do their best work – and this company does exceptional work. I look forward to helping them grow and thrive.”
“Blair, Lance and Darren are a dream team. Their expertise, experience and abilities are exceptional and we are thrilled to have each of them join us as we build on our current successes and create new ones,” says Ashley Ramsay. “It is an incredible time for our company -- especially for our digital-first original productions. We see a huge opportunity in this area and we are looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.”
