hey Sherbalex, i like it, but i am not exactly sure what he's doing. It looks like he's taking a big bite out of something in his hand, but there's nothing there. good emotion though...

Ouch

I have to really sympathize with you people on Geocities...if you PM me I can give you free space to host things like these files on...a 1and1 server, not a free homepage place...You'd have to keep your page somewhere else (already have 5 .com's up on it) but for storage/FTP it's keeps!

As far as the animation goes, I like how fluid it moves, and as has been said the emoting is obvious and good, and it does look like his foodstuffs have yet to be comp'd in....if I would change on thing, just one, I'd have the last pose (or frame) be less of a frontal....the build of the character's cool so when you have that direct of an angle (or lack of an angle thereof) it makes him flat right when you want him to have the most dimension in order to be the most imposing...

BTW I noticed by messing with the address that you're the Awesome Chicken Guy...Kudos again!

not bad:)

I finally saw the ape. Nice:)
The only thing I'd say, and maybe I'm wrong, but this looks like an ape that was already loose from his bindings. I have a feeling that you want this to be an ape ripping the bindings/chains loose. What I see, is an ape already loose and he's making a grumpy face.

It's good. It's just not convincing of a "BREAKING FREE" scene. It looks like he's already loose.

As I said, maybe you wanted to do it this way. Lord knows we DO have apes in chains that AREN'T fastened to the ground. But if the bindings/chains were supposed to be fastened to the ground, you may want to show the body and cables stretching until they snap. even if the action is supposed to be fast, you need to show a little bit of stress cables and the ape. act it out for yourself. Try attaching strong cables to the floor and handcuffing them to your wrists. Would you rip through them like tissue paper? I think not, superman.

Otherwise,

I like it:)
That is one grumy ape. and I think you throw off the symetry enough that it isn't as down the middle (as Scatteredlogical said). Variation is good, but when things are down the middle, it shows real stability. It's when things are DEAD center that you better know why you did it, or it's just bad design. I'd like to think that you did that on purpose, but again, if you didn't mean to and did, you made the right guess in my book:)

keep am-inating
