Hi Mudbubble,

Welcome to the AWN forums. I hope you enjoy yourself here, and find some of our rantings useful. ;)

Mudbubble, I've been enjoying your work for sometime! I noticed you redesigned your site recently. Why did you decide to simplify it and make it all html? just curious...

hi motionmilitia,
good question. the short answer is, right now it's easier to update with new projects. BUT i don't like it in terms of design. I have started designing and animating an all-flash version that features the boy and dog characters as interactive elements - for example, upon entering the new site, the boy runs out and literally grabs the cursor and uses it to build the navigation...
i will keep the existing html site and give the user a choice at the index page to visit either the flash version or html version. but building the flash version is taking too long - been swamped with client work all summer (which is a good thing).
Hopefully this fall I'll launch the fully animated flash version.

:)

Sounds cool! Can't wait to see it. I'm in the process of revamping my site as well. My first phase didn't turn out so hot...

Welcome to the forums, mudbubble!

I checked your website -- your flash animation work is of great interest to me. I'm planning to do a Flash 2D animation featuring one of my characters, and have always wondered how to go about it. I've bookmarked your site and definitely plan to watch the video you've put together, on how to take a pencil sketch to an animation-ready flash character.

I'm also interested in learning how to use a Wacom tablet with Flash and also varying line weight (two tutorials that I noticed you're planning to add). Can't wait to read them - any timeframe on when they'll be released?

Keep up the awesome work!
