Hey every body, Im a new animation student and came across this site and discovered this great thread, i'd thought id post 2 drawings i did today, nothing of my best work, but i felt like getting the ball rolling on me possibly doing more posts.
Some...er...Scattered pieces... I draw what I see. Animation has taught me to exist in my imagination and draw from there as well. It's a process =)
Edit: I'm not an ogre-like book-illustration freak of nature. The self-portrait was an emotional portrait too. I'm actually ravishingly handsome ;) Someone mentioned pastels and that's something I did in pastels that I enjoyed.
Cavy,
Are you the one that created the hugging gerbils?
If so, I assume that's a big gerbil or what kind of animal is that?
If you're referring to my Flash animation from this Spring, than yes. Those were my two guinea pig characters Bandit and Cui. ;) The other characters I recently posted are canine. The girl with the little black guinea pig is a dog of some sort and the couple are both wolves.
I have to completely agree with ScatteredLogical about linverse's style. You REALLY have it down and produce amazing work. It's really a complicated style that I haven't been able to master. I do use it as a base for my human characters though with decent success.
Linverse I do have to say that you are one that makes me wnat to pick you my pens and keep tring the anime style. Does that mean I'm a bandwagon jumper
This one is not anime its more landscapes it was inspired form a road I drive on all day at work. :D
How do you work with size, it says you can't go over 39. or something like that, but even my smallest pictures seem to be exceeding it! How do i get around this?
Wow everyone's work is kickin' ass! Great stuff indeed. Here's some stuff I posted in the Hallowe'en thread, but I thought I'd post it here too. Cheers
Very cool work you guys! Very inspirational indeed! Here's a rough sketch for a piece I'm starting up. Cheers

Hi, my first time here at this famous thread :)
I'm not posting the pictures because they don't fit within the thread's limits, but I have a new fotolog just for my personal work. Here it goes:
http://www.pixlog.net/danelectro/
It contains three conceptual sketches for the movie I'm developing right now.

You have to post it into an external site and then put the link here with the "open bracket slash IMG close bracket" command :)

Yes, I am a member of the Yahoo! portrait drawing group! :D
2-D animation will never die. The invention of photography did not kill painting. Why would animation be any different?

As long as I did the ones previous, you're getting a second dose.
And that makes three. (You have to search back 10 pages I think to get to the last time I posted in here. It's too nice of a thread to just lurk!)

Finally, for all the bandwagon jumpers who brutalize the anime style, someone comes along who can do it right.
There really isn't much focus in this one... but the overall look of it still appeals to me.
Not sure why this one appeals to me... has sort of a vague 80's feel to it.
