As a voice actor and audio producer I look to animators and the gaming industry as a great places to practice my crafts.
Cinematics are short introduction movies to computer games. My current animation 'voice-demo' features some cartoony voices. But I wanted to make a demo that sounded like game characters in one of those popular RPGs ...a bunch of tough guys plotting a military action in an imaginary world against an imaginary foe.
So I came up with this: http://www.geoffedwards.ca/soundbytes.html

Clever ending. The guy who talks about the "candy asses" I mistook for the sarge, but other than that they are distinct and honestly sound exactly like what you hear in those games. Even the background music.
If I can ask -- are they keeping you on for James' movie?
Hi ScatteredLogical,
Thanks for the comments.
I "composed" that soundtrack too (I make musical noises but have too much respect for musicians to call myself one) I'm glad you noticed it. Those are a few of the voices I have been experimenting with.
Re Xombie:
Yes the Producers have communicated to me that I am the official voice of Dirge in the seventy minute feature. You can read some of the details at: http://www.geoffedwards.ca/dirge.html
Cheers.
