The ART+MATH=X Conference encompasses a broad range of fields as they relate to art, mathematics and/or computer technology, including the exploration of the following themes: visualization and computer generated art, pattern and symmetry, geometry in quilting and artistic handicrafts, mathematics of knots and other 3D objects. Conference participants will share information and discuss common interests, allowing new ideas and partnerships to emerge that can enrich interdisciplinary research and education.

Zlin Fest For Children And Youth

Zlin Festival is one of the oldest festivals dedicated to films for children and youth. Films compete in six sections - film for children, for youth, animated film, European debuts, student films and films from Visegrad countries. The project is supported by the Czech Parliament and Ministry of Culture, the EU Media Programme and the International Visegrad Fund. Schools get ready for lift off... Mission to Titan starts in September

You are challenged to dream up and develop a story about your own mission to Titan. You can design your own spacecraft, build characters and crew members, create alien worlds and creatures, and tell the story of your mission in a short animation.

The animation you create must not be longer than five minutes, so you have to think about how to tell your story in a comprehensive but concise way. You don't have to cover the whole journey in your animation, and can concentrate on an interesting episode if you prefer.
