Hi,
I'm planning a project where I need to do some quick and dirty lip-syncing (i.e., it doesn't have to be perfect.) I have an old copy of Toon Boom Studio 2.5 from way back.
I'm on a serious budget. Would it be worth my while to upgrade to Toon Boom Studio 4.0 for the lip-syncing? In other words, is the lip-syncing really improved in 4.0?
Thanks,
Wally

What methods you use for animation in general and lip-synch specifically depend on how you go about things in animation--traditional style, cut-out, rigged, etc.
That said, the lip-synch capabilities in TBS 4.0 are about the same as they were in 2.5. The changes since 2.5 have more to do with pegs, interface, and effects.

thanks for both of the replies.
I guess I'll experiment and weigh my options.
With all due respect, just do it traditionally without automation. It's not that much difficult especially limited animation or quick n' dirty, as you describe.
