Hi!
I've been doing a lot of research to buy a notebook and when I finally decided on one, I was about to spend more than I can afford.
I was wondering if someone knew what specifications I need when buying a notebook. I will use it mostly for Flash and Photoshop (may be some 3D in the future).
Processor Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2MB cache/2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB? Or am I fine with Intel® Pentium® Dual Core T2330 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/1MB cache)?
Windows XP or Vista?
Memory: 2GB or 3GB?
Hard Drive:
80G 5400RPM SATA HDD
120G 5400RPM SATA HDD
160G 5400RPM SATA HDD
250G 5400RPM SATA HDD
320G 5400RPM SATA HDD
320G (2x 160) 5400RPM SATA HDD?
Video Card:
128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT
Optical Drive:
24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Batteries:
56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
I know this is a lot to ask but I am desperate and I almost agreed on buying a Dell Precission 6300 which is the best computer Dell has and it costs about $2200 + tax.
I appreciate any help you can provide me
Thanks a lot in advance!

personally I would try and get as much RAM as possible..512Mb...flash is not too fussy but photoshop can take an age to add filters or rastafy
If you're going to use it for Flash and Photoshop you should be good with:
Intel® Pentium® Dual Core T2330 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/1MB cache)?
Windows XP
Memory: 3GB
Hard Drive:
80G 5400RPM SATA HDD
-buy the small HD and save the extra money and buy an external HD.
Video Card:
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT
Optical Drive:
8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Batteries:
56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
I'd go with a Dell. Both of my desktops are Dells and I've been happy with them.

If you want to work in 2D then go for something with a touchscreen.
