Slick Nick - Private Dick in The Case of the Misplaced Musicians

This is my first real cartoon. As the title suggests, it's about a private investigator named Slick Nick. In this short he investigates the disappearance of a bad rock band, with help from his young sidekick Noseless Bob.

I did it in Flash, but wanted to avoid that "Flash" look, so I didn't use any tweens except for camera movement, and the backgrounds were drawn on paper, then scanned and coloured in photoshop. I wouldn't say I was entirely successful in making it appear traditionally animated (the lines are way too thick-- gotta remember that for next time!), but I do think it mostly succeeds in not screaming "FLASH".
