American Greetings Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation, has signed Big Time Toys as the toy licensee for SUSHI PACK.
Originally created by Studio Espinosa and optioned and developed by American Greetings Properties, SUSHI PACK is four pieces of sushi and a wad of wasabi jolted to life -- doing what's right to protect the citizens of Wharf City. The SUSHI PACK animated TV series currently airs weekends on CBS.
Big Time Toys will produce and market feature and non-feature plush, action figures (both electronic and non-electronic), novelties and key chains based on the SUSHI PACK property in the U.S. and Canada. The initial product line is expected to hit retail in fall 2009.
Additionally, American Greetings Properties announced that Big Time Toys will be the worldwide toy licensee for MY PET MONSTER, a re-launch of American Greetings' classic properties from the 1980s. MY PET MONSTER originally launched as a plush doll marketed to boys. Product categories for MY PET MONSTER include plush (feature and non-feature), animatronics figures, action figures, novelties and key chains. Products are expected to hit retail in fall 2009.
