Atomic Cartoons Drops Trailer for Season 2 of ‘The Last Kids on Earth’

Coming to Netflix April 17, popular animated series resumes with The Last Kids on Earth and the Zombie Parade, based on the 2nd book in the franchise.

Atomic Cartoons and Netflix unveiled the trailer for Season 2 of the animated series, The Last Kids on Earth, based on the New York Times bestselling books by Max Brailler. The new series, based on the second book in the franchise, returns to Netflix on April 17 as The Last Kids on Earth and the Zombie Parade. It will premiere with ten, 22-minute episodes featuring the voices of Mark Hamill, Rosario Dawson, Catherine O’Hara, Bruce Campbell, Keith David and Nick Wolfhard.

The fun and lighthearted book series, The Last Kids on Earth, follows Jack Sullivan (played by Wolfhard) and a band of suburban middle schoolers living in a decked-out tree house, playing video games, gorging themselves on candy and battling zombies.

The Last Kids on Earth is produced/showrun by Scott Peterson of Atomic Cartoons, and created and produced by Brallier, who also authored the books. The series is part of a larger world of IP that includes toys and other consumer products. The latest book installment of the series, The Last Kids on Earth: June’s Wild Flight published by Penguin, will be released April 7.
