CHICAGO -- Since opening its third office, in Chicago in 2016, Carbon continues to cement its place in the market by acquiring iconic brands Filmworkers Chicago and Vitamin, to become the second largest visual effects and design studio in the city.

Carbon is excited to welcome all of the key talent that made these brands such a respected part of the film and advertising community.

“This is an exciting time for Carbon,” says David Brixton, managing partner of Whitehouse Post, a sister company to Carbon. “They are gaining some world-class talent to boost an already very strong roster, we’ll be offering clients an even larger creative team whilst continuing to deliver at the highest level.”

Among those joining Carbon are industry mainstays Rob Churchill and Danny DelPurgatorio, both bringing with them a depth of talent and knowledge of the market that comes with the many years of experience they have heading up Filmworkers and Vitamin, respectively.

“Bringing together a larger group of creative minds broadens our bandwidth and allows us to offer even more capabilities in CG, design, VFX and production,” says Carbon Chicago Managing Director Phil Linturn. “With our expanded team, we’ll have increased Nuke capabilities as well as several illustrators, animators, and designers, capable of everything from stop-motion to shooting and directing. It will allow us to run more projects from concept through to completion, with expanded pitching capabilities. Coupled with our close connection to the editorial talent at Whitehouse Post, this really sets us apart from the rest of the market.”
