Shail joins Spin VFX as Senior Visual Effects Producer after experiences as an artist, supervisor and show runner.

Neishaw Ali (The Expanse, Flatliners) Spin VFX President and Executive Producer has announced the hiring of Daryl Shail by the Emmy-Award winning studio.
“Daryl’s notable experience from artist to VFX Supervision is only second to his love for our Industry and Community. This makes him a unique and resourceful producer at Spin. I look forward to throwing Daryl in the deep end and watching him swim!” said Ali.
Qualified as an expert witness by the Supreme Court of Ontario in forensic image processing and continuity of visual evidence, Daryl has led a diverse career spanning over 25 years with experience as an artist, on-set supervision, team building and show running. He is regarded as a production expert and creative partner who believes in building relationships through integrity and informed decision making, according to Ali.
Shail has lectured on many topics including the producer’s role in VFX, VFX concept design, forensic imaging and digital image processing workflow. Over the course of his career Daryl has engaged with a dozen films and television series as an Artist, VFX Supervisor and Senior Producer. His credits include Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (Sony Pictures), Preacher (AMC) and Odd Squad (PBS).
