Toronto --

Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studio is celebrating its part in the Daytime Emmy Award win in the category of Outstanding Preschool Animated Program for the second season of Bubble Guppies. The 40th Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which took place Friday evening in downtown Los Angeles, honours television production crafts in the Daytime genre.

Bubble Guppies, now in its third season, is a Nickelodeon series, which also airs on Canada’s #1 preschool network Treehouse. The CG-animated preschool series, created by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull, follows a group of diverse preschoolers with colorful fish tails who go on adventures discovering their world.

“Corus is proud of its role as the production team behind Bubble Guppies,” said Colin Bohm, Managing Director, Nelvana. "Nelvana has provided excellent quality animation for Bubble Guppies, combining multiple mediums that blur the lines with CGI, Maya and 2D Toon Boom applications."

This is the seventh Emmy win for the Nelvana Studio and represents the same executive production team that were also recognized for their work on the multiple Emmy award-winning animated series The Backyardigans.
